NIGERIA: Veteran Nollywood Actor Obi Madubogwo is Dead!

Nollywood has again lost one of her veteran actors in the industry, Obi Madubogwo was diagnosed with chronic diabetic in December 2016.

The veteran actor finally gave up the ghost on Monday evening after he was rushed down to the hospital from complications involving fever.

While confirming Madubogwo's death, veteran producer, Chidi Nwokeabia wrote:

 “Obi is dead, We just spoke to the wife. He developed fever yesterday, went to the hospital this morning, had complications and died. The family will be taking the corpse home tomorrow.”



Emeka Rollas, the newly elected president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria AGN also confirmed the news to journalists and quoted below:

“It’s sad that after receiving Oni’s congratulatory message on the telephone, he didn’t live to see me face to face and thereafter meet the reforms we are about bringing to AGN with this new excos.”

“Obi was part of this dream to see that I become the President of the Guild. Last year, I Chaired the event organized by his Saving Life for Africa Diabetes Foundation. We talked about how I would use AGN to help drive his foundation if become president of the guild. This is another sad day for Nollywood. May his soul rest in peace,".
Late Obi Madubogwo was known for his lead roles in several movies including 'king of Musanga", "Mothers-in-law", "Passion of my blood".

SOUTH AFRICA: Pretty Female Cop Arrested For Drugs; Mother Devastated!

The South African female cop busted in Brazil for drug smuggling resides in a modest backyard room in Kensington, Johannesburg. Angela Maluleke, 33, was arrested at São Paulo International Airport, allegedly in possession of six bricks of cocaine. When Sowetan visited her back room yesterday, her silver Mazda 2 was still parked outside where she had left it. Her landlord George João described Maluleke, who has a seven-year-old daughter and a year old baby, as a "friendly person whose boyfriend only visited her once". João said he was excited when she moved in to rent his backyard room in March because he believed that having a police officer at his house would deter criminals and was charging her R1500 a month to rent a room, and this amount included electricity and water. SOUTH AFRICA: Police Woman Arrested For Smuggling Cocaine In Brazil

An alleged SAPS female member was on her way to board a flight to South Africa when she was busted! SÃO PAULO: A female wearing the SAPS uniform has been busted with cocaine at the city's Guarulhos Airport A department of International Relations and Co-operation Spokesman has been unable to confirm the incident, but a police source confirmed it. The woman's name has however not been released to the public but will be announced shortly after she is booked to appear in court. SOUTH AFRICA: White Farmers Convicted In The Coffin Case

Theo Martins Jackson and Willem Oosthuizen pleaded not guilty Two white South African farmers who forced a black man into a coffin have been convicted of attempted murder and kidnapping. Victor Mlotshwa, 27, was beaten and made to get into the coffin by Theo Martins Jackson and Willem Oosthuizen in August 2016. The pair will be sentenced on 23 October. They had denied the charges. The case has caused outrage in South Africa and highlighted racial tensions in some farming communities. Mr Mlotshwa only reported the matter after footage of the assault emerged on YouTube months later. His attackers threatened to douse him in petrol and burn him alive. In a court affidavit, Jackson and Oosthuizen said they did not mean to harm Mr Mlotshwa but merely wanted to "teach him a lesson". They claimed that Mr Mlotshwa had been trespassing on their land.
