The South African female cop busted in Brazil for drug smuggling resides in a modest backyard room in Kensington, Johannesburg. Angela Maluleke, 33, was arrested at São Paulo International Airport, allegedly in possession of six bricks of cocaine. When Sowetan visited her back room yesterday, her silver Mazda 2 was still parked outside where she had left it. Her landlord George João described Maluleke, who has a seven-year-old daughter and a year old baby, as a "friendly person whose boyfriend only visited her once". João said he was excited when she moved in to rent his backyard room in March because he believed that having a police officer at his house would deter criminals and was charging her R1500 a month to rent a room, and this amount included electricity and water.
